  1. It's an ETF so won't (easily) do a Capitec It's got offshore exposure and the Rand is strengthening... imagine what'll happen if that d**s finally resigns Plus credit rating in December (I think) Like I said I'd rather wait and see if it will be allowed in my TFSA and move my STXIND to it (re-adjust some stuff). But, if I was to maybe buy earlier I'd wait until just before the credit downgrade and check what the Rand does.
  2. Worth a look at those to find an alternative since you have to.

  4. She means sell within the TFIA account. How will that negatively impact her unless she makes a loss? Personally - way too much admin. Wgen the time is right (possibly March) I'll sell my STXIND and allocate those funds to the new global 40 property ETF. Then it'll just be it, dbxwd and divtrx. I'll schedule an R2500 debit order and leave it on autopilot. No more lump sums every year. I hate the effort [emoji14]

  6. Why don't you create a sitemap php page and generate it on the fly? Submit a link like "..../generate.php?t=sitemap.xml" to Google and when it is hit it reads the DB and responds with xml and content-type application/xml. Or have a cron job or something run every morning at 4AM to generate xml for you.
  7. I'd stick with the classics until webp is more recognized and adopted. I know people use it on the web but base64 is intended to be used for storing and transporting binary data in simple alphanumeric characters. There's always *.gif
  8. Yes. Would I consider it? Only if I had a big lump sum available. Think I'll rather wait for march.
  9. Do you think we will be downgraded? Astoria and DBX WD have been pulling my portfolio to red territory.[LOUDLY CRYING FACE][LOUDLY CRYING FACE] Somebody still owns Astoria?!
  10. DBX ETFs are a much better bet IMO
  11. Growth is almost entirely depended on the Rand tanking. The interest you earn on those is close to nothing. An alternative is opening a Global Account via FNB (or similar). Difference is you'll have real Pounds instead of Rands invested as Pounds. Downside is that there are exchange control fees. Personally I reckon this is way too much of a risk. Better off investing in the British economy (DBXUK) which will give you the Rand hedge as well.
  12. CTOP50 is capped at 10% Should look at STXIND... 32%. At 36% we won't be able to use it in our TFSA's anymore What happens to people who have existing TFSA's with IND assuming it goes to 36% or do you think they will introduce caps before that point? No idea. Doubt they'll introduce caps, newfunds already has an ETF catering for that. My guess - forced to sell. I've got a good mind and sell my stxind as soon as it turns green again. 19. Last day on this porject! WOOT! Onto the next one.... so I'm busy packing up, giving away all the bubble wrap I have saved up....see there is an empty Vaseline bottle here... good times
  20. I thought about the cash part, but what if we get downgraded December then that cash won't be worth much. Perhaps South Africans should look at the bitcoin route as a means to protect you in a way? I do not understand bitcoin and currency all that much so I do not know if bitcoin is good, but to me it sounds like a better option than cash under the bed or bank. When I say cash I am referring to ZAR notes. I doubt our money would become that much more "worhtless". The Rand is increasing in strength, the risk downgrade is getting less albeit it still being a big risk.

Suppose they'll make it into all the property indexes by January.
