  1. Is this in a particular skill or general, the problem I find with these website is I often end up competing with a Indian kid who just want to put food on the table so he comes in at like $2 for a large job and then I just leave it. I think a website like that aimed specifically for South Africans would be quite amazing as it will all be rand value.
  2. I'm a actually also confused by what those means exactly, especially wtf if they say sell. I sell and then they say hold. Defuq am I suppose to hold? I just sold it remember. Perhaps @SimonPB can shed some light on how buy hold sell indicators should be interpreted.
  3. Oh sorry I read my post see I forgot to add the second link. So IG has a hell of a lot more I'll try to get a screenshot now now. The image I posted was a free compromise from za.investing.com Just Google AXLJ or add J at the end of any jse stock code and investing.com should be the first link. Then click fundamentals or the other tabs for respective contents.
  4. Yea they are proper. I think I'll need to go hang out in the how to make extra income thread. I need more money, so many stocks I want to buy!! So little funds to own it all. I see steinhoff is being murdered. I wonder what's happening there?
  5. Urgh, now she retreats back again just cannot seem to break that 70 cents barrier This is a cool page even for non registered users of IG - https://www.ig.com/za/ig-shares/african-bank-investments-ltd-ABL-ZA
  6. AXL go baby go! Whoo Whoo!
  7. What a spot there in twitter groovy, AXL in acquisition talks I'm curious now whether they want to acquire someone or of it is them Axl being acquired.
  8. Totally agree dammit there is so many good companies on this jse that flys by unnoticed. I think I might skip on sea Harvast as well. I mean technically I&J is actually bigger than sea Harvast it seems should they separate from AVI and operate on their own.
  9. Avid follower of Justonelap.com myself absolutely love what they are doing. Look here Aeonian - @Kristia and sir @SimonPB Side note welcome to the forum, only realized now this is your first post/thread hope you enjoy your stay.
  10. Personally I use EasyEquities I switched over from PSG due to the fees at the time, I do miss the market research, but that is why I now hang on forums I tend to get a good amount of scoop here. I want to start looking into trading @Leigh really got me interested. So I am thinking of starting with GT247 given how nice EasyEquities is, then I will head over and try IG Markets if I become better than average as I think the overall value would be better with IG given their extensive research and resources they make available. Conclusion for a investor who buys and holds I think EasyEquities is unmatched and seen in the same light as Capitec is to the banking industry imo. @Hamster uses Absa as well I think, perhaps he can shed some light on their fees too.
  11. @groovy I just saw a tweet about AVI so I looked them up. My gosh man, we should have bought some assuming you haven't already? Look at this, this is the I&J breakdown, I had no idea it is this big, surely giving Sea Harvest a go.
  12. Gt247 would be a good starting point. On the other side the dbx trackers and the coreshares new two ETFs plus your bitcoins! Those make for some pretty decent offshore exposure imo
  13. Today, Today I want AXL to soar!
  14. Possibly, but I hope not.
  15. South African President Jacob Zuma announced new land reform plans Friday, telling traditional leaders that the government will do a “pre-colonial” land audit and change the constitution to allow restitution without compensation. Uncertainty over property rights will push investors and business players to look at options elsewhere, BizNews reported. This isn’t the first time Zuma has promised to amend laws allowing expropriation without compensation, but it is the first time a pre-colonial” audit has been mentioned, Huffington Post reported. Addressing the National House of Traditional Leaders in the Old House of Assembly at Parliament in Cape Town, Zuma outlined plans not mentioned in either the State of the Nation Address, the subsequent parliamentary debate or the budget speech. Julius Malema, head of the Economic Freedom Fighters party, has been calling for land expropriation without compensation. He led the debate in Parliament on Tuesday, News 24 reported “We remain a conquered nation because white monopoly capital still owns the means of production, and at the center of that is the land question,” Malema said as he addressed the National Assembly. “Black people, all of us, we need to unite and amend the Constitution so that we can expropriate land without compensation.” Mmusi Maimane, leader of the Democratic Alliance (DA), called on the African National Congress (ANC) to “rein in” the president: “He’s gone rogue on land reform, contradicting both his own Cabinet and the ANC’s parliamentary caucus,” Maimane said. Breaking down South Africa’s rural landowners by race would be “almost impossible,” according to the independent research group, the Institute of Race Relations, The Telegraph reported. “The state owns some 22 percent of the land in the country, including land in the former homelands, most of which is occupied by black subsistence farmers who have no title and seem unlikely to get it any time soon,” IRR said. “This leaves around 78 percent of land in private hands, but the race of these private owners is not known.” Malema has been travelling around South Africa, encouraging black South Africans to “take back land from white invaders and ‘Dutch thugs,'” - Full story at: http://afkinsider.com/138235/138235/#sthash.SvC4ZttQ.dpuf
  16. Interesting time ahead for those who owns the CoreShares S&P500 ETF Something happened in the stock market this week that has only occurred twice since 1871: Robert Shiller’s favourite valuation method for the S&P 500, the cyclically adjusted price-to-earnings ratio, reached 30.
  17. Seems they where wrong. Oh well lets get some gains!
  18. From twitter Top10 stocks for longer term investors. Updated 5 Mar'17 (with trepidation). Imperative to stagger all buying & hold some cash. Source: https://twitter.com/Richards_Karin/status/838456645105631232 Also a disclaimer: https://twitter.com/Richards_Karin/status/838458929730433026
  19. I hope TAS gives some news this week. I want to ditch it. I also hope DbxWD and dbxJP does something as those are still red from 2015/16
  20. Hey hey, welcome to the forum!
  21. Still profit, but damn I want it to hit R2 then I will sell.
  22. This will be interesting we have RA's coming from EasyEquiteis soon perhaps @jonobruton can give us some insight on a possible ETA and fee structure? If the EasyEquities equities platform is anything to go buy then the RA's should be pretty sweet. Then there is also Sygnia who is certainly one of the better options out there especially with Sygnia's robo advisor. @Magda Wierzycka is on the forum as well I am sure she will be able to answer questions how to structure it properly from a self employed perspective still getting the tax benefit.
  23. Ha! Well I would probably buy a property ETF rather. That said its a lot easier to buy a R1 million property with the banks money than to buy R1 million's worth of ETFs
  24. Good point, because the last thing I heard was everyone was so excited saying ApaptIT's acquisition strategy is paying off and then also Audit International was quite a success as well so I am not sure what is driving the price down and or if it is just collateral given the whole JSE did pretty bad the past few weeks, but total month is a bit long so doubt it is that. I will see if I spot anything and report back.
