As soon as the SENS came out I though the gap was massive so I shorted. Was surprised to see an hour later that the share had gained slightly so cancelled - figuring I had read it wrong. THEN is started to fall.... :(

 

The market often surprises me how slow it digests information.

 

Personally, think it will drop further - IF it get's to around R18 - I will have a  nibble. But no one to tell where it will go, although I am sure most will say it's going to drift down for a bit.

I do not like my CTOP50 anymore I had for almost 2 years now and it has not done much. I understand it is a long term hold and stuff, but it still feels sad knowing what other stocks did in the same time frame, it is 2 years of my investment life wasted.

Hi everyone,

I'm starting my ETF portfolio based on the downloadable ebook.

 

What is the difference between the CSP500 and DBXWD?

 

I'll basically be buying 60% - DBXWD/CSP500 and 40% NFEMON.

No GLPROP  ETF as I'm already invested in Investec Property Fund and Tower Fund Properties (50/50).

Should I go the the GLPROP ETF in anycase seeing as I have the above shares?

CSP500 tracks the S&P500 index which is mostly US stocks so it is more comparable to DBXUS than DBXWD.

 

DBXWD invests worldwide (at the moment 60% in US, 40% in Europe etc - all developed countries if I'm not mistaken). I definitely prefer DBXWD over DBXUS because 1) the broader diversification and 2) it is much cheaper. 

 

CSP500 seems to be paying better dividends though but these are hardly the type of ETFs one invests in for the dividends.

African Phoenix better lay a gold egg today, no tall tales .

 

I was contemplating buying a butt load of AXL this morning, but doubt I will as I have very little confidence in this share.

 

My feeling is that they won't even release any new info today.

It's possible, i don't even recall them dropping an update of how business is going. I'm ready to take my talents elsewhere if they don't deliver.

I want to have a good Friday, I want this stock to go FOMO so I can cash out.

Personally, i think even 10% in crypto is pushing it - but anything over would be nuts. I've got 2%. I settled on that because my portfolio has bounce on a good/bad day by that amount and it doesn't bother me.

I just wish AXL gives me a reason to stay.

 

I want it to hit R1 wasn't there supposed to be a trading update already?

 

Yeah Ranger, i waited the whole day yesterday for the update, but nothing came out. If they had "good news" they'd have released something already, but i don't know. I'm just hoping for the best
