Contemplating if I should buy a little more or just leave it at R119
-
Sweet !! Thank you
-
MTN pulling back now. I still think I will buy a little more, if anything that insurance product should be positive and the new CEO is no rookie
-
If you have a Takealot voucher and not planning to use it feel free to help out and post it here You can post any voucher really I guess.
-
True, but still. It just feels.... So.... DSTV like...
-
Unless that is in rands, but I doubt it.
-
Am I reading this correctly? Has naspers a company who's share costs almost R3000 only paid out dividends of 480 cents!!!! That is like a 0.16% dividend yield to me that just seems greedy as fck balls.
-
If by some miracle the Rand hits R12.50 before December then my Dbx Portfolio is fcked.
-
I made some profit on MTN in the past when I bought at 121 and sold at 140 so with MTN under 120 at the moment I decided to ride this beast one last time
-
Can someone explain this? How can the price jump that much does that mean there is a big buyer and seller or something?
-
Please keep it up TAS (:

That's my whole point look at DBXWD we buy DBXWD based on its past performance, but looking at the most recent years it's clear that that past momentum is no more. Point take regardless

To be honest this etf flew a little bit under my radar. Then again all the stocks that looks good is messing with my mind since they all look good till about mid 2015 after that it's sideways or downwards so I don't know what to do anymore regarding choices. Silly example, but look at MRP, Simon likes that stock a lot or did and numerous occasions mentioned it in his webinars and we'll if I took the advice I would have been wiped out now. Look at discovery also a stock that gets mentioned alot but lately it's down down down Now I know comparing stocks to ETFs is not really accurate, but look at my favorite ETFs: DBXWD StxIND DBXEU PTXTEN And now New funds momentum as well. Over all they all look wonderful but go back YTD or just 1 year especially 2015 and then it's a very very different outlook. Guess what I am saying is that I still don't know of any stock/etf on that JSE that is solid enough so hoping ZAR X brings something new to the table. I know all of this farts in the wind in the long run, but psychologically it sucks seeing shares go down and down and it's hard to keep faith that it will recover.

I do not like gold although $1400 is on the cards, but not for me I am a buy and hold. I guess I need to look into this Momentum ETF lots of buzz around it then again there was a lot of buzz around CTOP50 as well so might just keep it and add Newfunds Momentum to the mix next month.
-
Apart from not being able to set your bbid/offer prices, the instant buy and sell has it's perks. I've been trying to sell CTOP50 all day. Only a third of them have sold so far. Damn markets are flat Selling Ctop50? Why, unless I assume NewFunds Momentum Equity ETF?

EFF councillors have to hand over half their salaries for the next three months to recover money spent during the local government elections, party leader Julius Malema said on Monday. Those who refused were stealing from the organisation and would be dealt with decisively, he told reporters. He was briefing media on resolutions the party’s leadership took over the weekend. The EFF’s 826 councillors needed to repay the party for campaigning for the elections. “You had your faces on the posters, you had T-shirts, and you had all types of support. Where do you think that money came from?” He wanted to demonstrate to the country that the EFF was not funded by outsiders. “Our party is supported and financed by its own members,” he said. The party already expelled its Mpumalanga provincial secretary after he refused to comply. “When we went to deduct the money from his account, he went back to the bank and reversed that transaction. It is an open clear defiance of the organisation,” he said. The party would release the names of those who stilled owed the party money next week. The party’s MPs had to tithe 15% of their salaries to the organisation. From News24

ZAR X, South Africa’s newest stock exchange, has been granted a licence to operate a stock exchange by the Financial Services Board. “This brings to an end the era in South Africa where the sector was monopolised and dominated by a single player for company listings and share trading,” said ZAR X. ZAR X CEO Etienne Nel said “the approval signifies a new era in tech-friendly and user-focussed share trading”. ZAR X offers investors T+0 settlements, and will initially offer a primary board for conventional company listings, an investment entities board that will cater for structured products and exchange traded funds, a “restricted market” for BEE shares, and Agri shares and other restricted securities. ZAR X will commence operations on 5 September. “We are pleased to announce that Senwes and Senwesbel will be the first companies to list and will commence trading on 3 October.” “Other companies that have committed to listing on ZAR X are now able to commence with their listings process.” From Mybroadband
