  1. Definitely. I agree. for me this is a long hold. I personally do not think we will see the results of Starbucks for at least another 4 years. People might be on the rumour, but the real results I personally don't think will reflect in the shorter term. If TAS dips again now then I will sell discovery and put it into TAS as I think TAS has a massive upturn potential in the next 4 - 5 years provided you get in at 220 or below. That is what I think, but like you pointed out there is so little info in the public domain that it's hard to make a conclusion without someone closer to the company itself.
  2. What does the nedbank platform cost? Is it the only one you've used? I'm always interested to see how other institutions' platforms compare I know Sanlam and standard bank is pretty on par.
  3. Ohhh... Nope that won't be me, I'm still Android wealthy still have a while to go before I hit Apple products wealthy [emoji14]
  4. Good stuff! Wanted to buy yesterday afternoon, but nobody was selling What platform are you using? I picked up 4K's worth @220
  5. I use Sharenet's app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=za.sharenet.AndroidShareLookup) to view my portfolio for the day. I use Stock Tracker (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sm.stock.StockTracker) to set alerts for price movements

  11. Well this can't be good? I thought they left the country or was that just a voting ploy? Source: http://businesstech.co.za/news/banking/127753/guptas-move-to-buy-south-african-bank-report/
  12. It is D-day for Britain as citizens head to the polls to vote in a referendum which will determine whether the nation stays within the European Union – or makes an exit. Most analysts expect a “stay” vote, which has bolstered UK markets, as well as those attached to it. The anticipation of a stay vote has strengthened South Africa’s markets, as investors venture back into riskier climes. 13. I will sell on 10% profit. Since in hindsight this is not a share I want to be in anymore, I might have made a mistake, lets wait and see. 780 cents was my buy price
  14. Medical aid I understand since in South Africa our private medical is a business these guys are in it for the money. My father placed me on there GEMS medical aid as a beneficiary.
  15. This having no insurance is quite scary. I just wish one could claim the money back. I have been so blessed, never robbed never lost stuff never been in accidents it would feel like I am giving money away. Can't one rather just put money away in an emergency plan? IF insurance will be R1,5k a month if I put that away I will have 18K each year.
  16. LEL. You can view us as Dual Listed Members.
  17. I am starting to like it. This will be my next ETF in the TFSA next term.
  18. Well I bought 512 shares. Lets hope.
  19. Very interesting. This actually puts things into perspective a bit more regarding understanding what influences our currency. I think I will set up some google alerts for China and their plans for manufacturing and expanding.
  20. @Hamster not sure if you this? https://justonelap.com/coreshares-top50/ Looks pretty good.
  21. Good point. Eish guess I will have to insure my electronics in the house.
  22. I don't yet.... I need to buy, but dammit I hate it.
  23. @Hamster, the MAPPSG will be for my TFSA. In my this account ( Remember I have a few ) I now have: TAS MTN NEP ROC I sold MTN bought a bit more TAS and PPC Now I have 6K left to buy single shares with. Since I am going to invest into MAPPSG and other ETFs in my TFSA at the end of this month. I want to put the 6K into TAS to try and lower my average purchase price more?
  24. I think I too should buy some CTOP50 in my main account I have R6k laying there thanks to MTN, but I have no idea what I should buy now. This is apart from the R6K that will go into the TFSA end of month if all goes well.
