  1. And Friday is still busy happening
  2. This has been one of the best replies on this subject matter thus far, thanks so much for you time and insight on this one Werner I will gladly try this approach as it does sound like it has merit, will revert back once I've completed my next batch of bitcoin purchases, which might take awhile as I'd prefer the price to drop ALOT before then haha.
  3. Lol yeah, I do appreciate all the updates, along with many other forumites I'm sure, makes it so much easier to read and follow
  4. Thanks Werner, I understand everything you have mentioned. I'm hoping you can clarify it even further though. Lets say I buy 100k worth of BTC/ZAR from Luno, it costs 1% to do the transaction on Luno side, awesome, I now have 99k worth of BTC/ZAR I now want to sell my 99k worth of BTC/ZAR 10 seconds later as an emergency or whatever came up. I sell everything ( not sure how much Luno asks, maybe R18.50 or a percentage again ) and I assume it costs another 1k max. So in theory, I should get back roughly 98k in ZAR value since only 10 seconds passed since a bought it, right? Unfortunately we know the answer is no, I'll probably get back maybe 80k if I'm lucky.
  5. Why does Luno take 15-20% of my money when I covert ZAR to BTC?
  6. My low priority transactions took about 5 - 10 minutes to complete.
  7. Afaik it's the 1070 rig in the first post, mining ETH I assume. His rig count is growing daily.
  8. It might as well have been the culmination of Day 23 since things are happening at snails pace already. By my estimate we'd be lucky if this ends on Day 60
  9. That's crazy, look under Jaxx settings page, then BTC Mining Fees and select low. By default it's on normal if I'm not mistaken.
  10. If I had to guess, probably another month minimum, as they appear to be moving rather slow currently. And it seems in courtland there are only 4 working days, how nice!
  11. Yeah I got that part, thanks By average joe I'm thinking more in the line of Absa,Nedbank, other banks, and of course EE
  12. The average joe still don't have access to investing on their platform via normal brokers though?
  13. Finally the real trial has started, it's already getting more interesting, the previous version was bit of a snooze fest.
  14. It would appear the main reason for the huge losses is in fact the difference between ZAR/BTC price and USD/BTC price, plus some other factors I'm still trying to figure out :/
  15. Gratz on the 40th padjakkels, now I don't feel like the oldest one here anymore
  16. Yip, fake until verified, maybe then I'll put in some effort reading into this Unless it's already been verified by credible establishments?
  17. Haha ok, but emails are just emails, it's so easy to fake nowadays How do we know there is any substance to these "alleged" emails ?
  18. Wow ok, why not just waste another day arguing who wore what at what time, as that is of utmost importance in solving this case...
  19. Am also hopeful that this will increase the value of ETH, however nothing much has happened so far.
  20. Now if only I felt like reading all that....
  21. I ended up losing around 15% of my value doing EFT into Luno, convert to BTC, transfer to Jaxx and convert to ETH Seems a bit excessive Will take a look at ice3x, thx *edit* Seems the ice3x upgrade has been delayed until this weekend. Their platform does however look very promising, especially the ZAR:ETH pairing (not sure what they mean by that) However at quick glance they already slightly more expensive ZAR/BTC price wise than Luno
  22. I hear you, very tempted just to sell my last bits of JSE cr@p and moving it all into crypto
  23. Wow that is epic, happy mining when you get there
  24. Yeah, afaik EthOS only supports max 10 currently, but I doubt this will be an issue for long for most custom mining OS's other there.
  25. I also want 6 of those cards, but not willing to wait 6+ weeks
