The subject of how cryptocoins work puzzles me. An example is when a new bitcoin is mined does it have a unique serial number? When you buy bitcoins say 0.035 how does the system which bitcoin that came from? Or doesn't that matter. Are the blocks only used recording of transactions rather than what happens to each bitcoin? This is quite a ramble I trying to get my mind around this and not getting any answers from googling.

Wow that is R6k per month don't what operating costs are but pay back will be quick. So my thoughts of trying mining on an old Pentium laptop will be a waste!

OK I bought some BTC at R24330 on luno and then the price dropped. I have transferred this Airbitz wallet. I see there was a fee of like 0.0000002 BTC how is that recovered and who does that get paid to?

What an informative thread, I have been reading it for the past while. I will test the waters, with some small amounts and then look to put some funds in monthly. I owned some Aspen, and was down and looking to sell at some time, then I saw the bad news on EOH on Thursday morning which I also held and sold both on EE as soon as I could. I was happy on EOH they went down another 3% after I sold. Would be interesting to see Aspen on Monday.

Thanks i was mixing up Alpha and Beta

Hi just on the Beta. I thought 1 was the same as the market. Below 1 was a return less than the market and above 1 was a return above the market. Obviously this depends on the time beta was measured over. Is there a standard period for a beta measure?

I remember that word from lectures as I always saw it as Oli go Poly. But I knew what it meant.

Hi Here is the website for the workshop page. http://www.mafiabuzz.co.za/workshops.htm It is a quite intensive 1 day course, plus I went through the manual again the next day. It has a lot of information. He does give you a lot of information and tools to use as well. The guy who recommended the course to me says if you follow his strategy you will easily earn a 4% alpha. I have started and will only know in the next few years/months if it works for me.
