Please use this thread to discuss the starting date of the the club, and or list the minimum requirements needed for the club to start. It has been suggested that the club can start with a minimum of 10 registered members and expand each month if need be, due to the unit valuation bringing new members aboard will be easy. The bank discussion thread will need to be finished first, before a deadline can set in stone, but it would be nice to start on the 15th of this month if possible.

Right now we are using mybb. I do not know any better ( ironed out ) forum software that can compare to Vbulletin. I want this forum to be a success and provide the users with a smooth experience if that means spending more money then I will. Right now this forum platform is pretty good, but I suspect it would be better for the long run to be on a commercial build and maintained platform like Vbulletin than to rely on a open source project like mybb. All in all my end goal is to provide the best experience to the members so whatever that takes I will consider.

You will notice from time to time that the Thread/Post column might be a little off to the left compared to other thread/columns. This is due to me who has increased the base small-font size from 12px to 14px. This is the default view ( 12px ) This is the current view ( 14px ) If it is unbearable then we can move back to 12px.

Oh wow. I have now logged into the tapatalk dashbaord and saw they add Ad banners by default and then give some money to the forum. I was not aware of this. I have no disabled all ads and was informed the process can take up to 24 hours to reflect so hopefully before tomorrow tapatalk will be ad free. That does bring me to the following idea. If we can get a 100 users on here in the coming months then we might be able to convince everyone to briefly endure the tapatalk ads untill we reach $399 so that we can buy Vbulletin. This is what the ads earned so far ( I have turned it off )

Right now mybb has a very odd way of doing things, it appears the Qoute button needs to work in conjunction with the reply button. For instance if you want to quote one person then you can simply press reply on that specific post and it will include the post as a quote. If you want to Quote multiple posts you will need to press quote on the posts and then in the quick reply box at the bottom you will see the following message: "You have selected one or more posts to quote. Quote these posts now or deselect them." That is how the quote button works on mybb. Trust me it not ideal, but we will need to work around it for the time being. I want to end up on Vbulleten 5 by end of this year however at $399.00 + $169.00 it is quite expensive and we will need to make do with this forum platform for now, but I want to point out that I am fully indented to move to vbulletin if this takes off.

Oh it is going to feel weird having a forum limited to just two categories, however what you said makes a lot of sense and it will be done today. Thank you for taking the time to help out with suggestions

Removal or moving of them. Im a structured freak and so afriad if I only have two sections it will end in chaos?

Use this thread to discuss anything related to the communication protocol that the club uses. Currently we have the following structure: Whatsapp will be used for Notifications ONLY any member breaking that rule will be temporarily banned from the Whatsapp group. E-mail will be used for general club announcements and queries which will also be announced on the forum. The E-mail protocol will also be used to send the bank statement and other financial reports to members which cannot be publicly displayed here. The forum will be used for everything except sensitive matters.

Use this thread to discuss the method that will be used for valuation by the club. Currently the Unit Valuation System (UVS) will be used however this is entirely up for discussion hence this thread.
