Hi,

I am trying to set google finance up with ee.

Steps taken:

Create a new portfolio in google finance

Import the .csv from EE

then I get the following error:

Some transactions in this portfolio are invalid. Edit transactions to correct errors.

When I click on the error I get a list where they all have

Number of shares can't be empty or zero for this transaction.

I presume this is because of buying parts of shares.

Is there any way to fix this?

When importing the .csv file you'll see options to change the headings of the different columns. EE exports these a bit different, make sure that each column heading is indeed what is given in the column i.e. heading for shares bought should actually reflect shares bought, etc.

Ok, I am not getting exactly the same errors as when I started the topic, here is a step by step of what I am doing.

1. Go into Easy Equities>My Account>Reports>Press the down arrow next  to "Transaction History".

2. Scroll down and press "Google Finance" button (downloads transaction history csv).

3. go into google finance>Portfolios>My portfolio and press Import transactions.

4. Choose file>Preview Import.

5. Check headings and change to the following:

6. Scroll down and press Import.

Then I get this error:

When I press "Edit transactions" it gives me a list that looks like this:

This is what PPC looks like in my account overview:

Any advice or assistance?
