The Gold thread

Recommended Posts

So many predictions on gold pricing and most of them wrong.

Anyone else stuck with some gold related shares and hoping for recovery like myself?

What about investing in the metal itself?

Not interested in actual GOLD

I'm still holding Harmony, didn't have the time to sell before it was to late, so guess I'll have to ride this one out.

Think I'm roughly 30% down on it :D

Hopefully The Donald drives gold up.

No doubt, however I don't sell anything at a LOSS anymore.

If it takes 5 years to recover, then so be it :)

Don't you think SA mining stocks are a risky investment to be in as with all the running costs and unions

It's becoming more expensive to mine the metal

Yes it is, but that can be said for almost anything "made in SA" or in the case, mined in SA

What trading platform do you trade with

I use Saxo, flexible and have access to lots of markets

Looking at Saxo, not that bad cost wise, considering you can get exposure in so many different markets.

Basically twice as much as EE, but with many more options available.

Think I'll read a bit more, might be worth considering this platform.

Saxo seems pretty nice, how does it compare to GT247

Hmmm yes, I haven't looked at GT247 at all, guess I'll need to do my homework on that as well.
