Bianca Crewe 0 Posted October 3, 2017 Are there any good stock scanners for the JSE? I have looked around but it seems like there are just good scanners for the US market/
Stanton-AlgoTrading 2 Posted October 4, 2017 Hi Bianca What trading platform are you using? I create custom stock screeners using prorealtine on the if platform.
Dusty Mountain 0 Posted October 5, 2017 There she goes again over 12% today, good start to October with goodnews to follow.
Dusty Mountain 0 Posted October 5, 2017 TAWANA over 128% growth for the last 12 months starting 1st October last year, well done to all Tawana Holders!
Spreadsheet Ranger 20 Posted October 9, 2017 I am pretty envious of you TAWANA investors there seems to be no stopping this stock up 5% already today.
SideEffect 0 Posted October 9, 2017 I am pretty envious of you TAWANA investors there seems to be no stopping this stock up 5% already today. Pretty chuffed with TAW. Got in quite early, but didn't lay down as much capital as I would have liked. Sucks, but such is life.
Spreadsheet Ranger 20 Posted October 9, 2017 I wish I jumped into TAW. Does any of you own the Ashburton Global 1200 ETF? I am trying to figure out what would be the most ideal, DBXWD vs SYP500 vs Ashburton Global 1200 for offshore.
Bandit 33 Posted October 10, 2017 STXWDM? I haven't touched the new Ashburton one, there are just too many at the moment and there are bound to be more. Regardless, I started buying STXWDM instead of SYGWD. Together with STXEMG I can control my emerging market exposure whereas the Ashburton one does that for you. Kinda like a one ETF does all. If I started a portfolio now though I'd probably look at it together with a small amount of CTOP50 as a start.
Outlook 3 Posted October 10, 2017 Kicking myself for still sitting with Anchor Capital shares. This has been a horrible year with them and their management seems as bad as it gets, but I don't want to sell at a loss.

phatphil 1 Posted October 13, 2017 At least the DBx ETFs (or Sygnia now) are all green, I had very little faith in the beginning of this year.
Spreadsheet Ranger 20 Posted November 4, 2017 Stadio and Pembury are doing good. I also climbed into Long for Life - hoping this is the bottom and will result in a profit.
YoungInvestor 9 Posted November 4, 2017 Funnily enough I also bought up in long4life this week.
Spreadsheet Ranger 20 Posted November 4, 2017 I saw a pericope from Simon where he said they are worth something like R5,50 in cash or something, cannot recall the exact words, but I then thought screw it I think Joffe can make a success they strike me as a sort of PSG style group where he uses cash from one operation to fund another, in a 5 - 10 year span that will either be moerse successful or they will de-list. Read the same extract and also thought stuff it, Joffe will make it a sucess in the LT.
Spreadsheet Ranger 20 Posted November 6, 2017 I wonder if Long 4 Life will go to R4? I am trying to figure out whether I should buy more or wait it out - I want to buy in R2000 increments up until I have R10k invested in Long 4 Life and then I will leave it. YoungInvestor 9 Posted November 6, 2017 @ this point to be honest im not to sure....
YoungInvestor 9 Posted November 8, 2017 I see L4L is losing more ground. Prehaps a R4 bottom out is realistic.
YoungInvestor 9 Posted November 9, 2017 L4L moving closer and closer to R4. Currently @R4.
Outlook 3 Posted November 9, 2017 I am planning to enter this boat at R4.30 Long4Life at below R4.40 I think is a bargain in terms of what they aim to do. Is it like a little PSG basically?
bajax 0 Posted November 9, 2017 Did you know that on GT247 quite a few shares cannot be traded ? I sent this to them " How come some shares do not appear on the trading platform like Sygnia LTD and Long4Life ? This was the reply "There is no script for CFDs on those shares. Not enough liquidity for us to hold it. You can buy them as vanilla shares on EasyEquities". is this the same with Sharenet ? is there somewhere that we can trade these with a stop loss ?
Outlook 3 Posted November 9, 2017 That will probably be the case for all CFD providers, these shares rarely gets made available on trading platforms due to the low liquidity.
