Fractional ownership is an efficient, smart way of investing which offers many advantages.

1. Portfolio diversification – never leave money out of the market

Trading in whole shares is not always an efficient way of doing things. As you may already know, many investment platforms only allow you to trade whole shares since trading on a securities exchange doesn't allow for fractional ownership. This can be very limiting.

2. Our technology means less waste for you

At EasyEquities, we're efficient. We believe that every single cent should be hard at work for you, earning returns. This is why we put so much work into developing technology that supports investment in fractional share rights (FSRs). By investing every Rand possible, your portfolio is maximizing its earning potential. Technology really has made the process both easier and more profitable.

3. Equal opportunities are available to all investors

Since we don't require minimum deposits or investments, every investor has the opportunity to diversify their portfolio regardless of their budget. This means that an investor with a portfolio of R2 500 receives the same diversification benefits as an investor who has a portfolio worth R250 000. We offer everyone the benefit of automatic, perfectly allocated dividend reinvestment where dividends paid out to you can be used to invest in more FSRs, with every cent able to be used.

Suitability: This week we take a look at another of the JSE’s large-cap tracking funds, the Satrix Swix 40 ETF. The fund is ideal for investors with a medium- to long-term investment horizon and can be used as part of a core investment portfolio. It is an inexpensive way to invest in the 40 largest blue-chip companies on the JSE, which represent at least 80% of the JSE’s total market capitalisation. Equity investments tend to exhibit higher short-term volatility than other asset classes, so a longer investment horizon gives a portfolio time for returns to accumulate ahead of volatility.

@easyequities is the cheapest and simplest platform to use! I've been with them for about 8 months and with the cheap fees and fractional share holding you are really able to reinvest earnings and accumulate your wealth and growth! Also with the new recurring investments they've set up. You can put aside money each month to keep your portfolio growing and making the most use of the compound effect to grow your wealth. You can't go wrong with EasyEquities.

Investing in equities has to be easy on the wallet. EasyEquities has created a structure with the lowest commission, no minimum investment, and no platform or data fees. This has been achieved through sound technical engineering and solid legal structures. Fractional Share Rights (FSRs) gives the owner the rights to a portion of an equity that is less than one full share . The fact that people have the opportunity to acquire the rights to the economic benefits and risks associated with the price movements and dividends of a portion of a share, is an ideal way for people with a small amount of capital to build up a portfolio of stocks.

I like that you don't have to have a fortune to start investing. Much like the purpose of this club.
